American College Testing (ACT)

The American College Testing Assessment is a qualifying test required for admission to college and universities in Indiana and in many schools outside the state of Indiana. The ACT tests English, reading, mathematics, and science reasoning skills.

A perfect score in each test area is 36. A perfect composite score on the ACT is 36.

Test sites will close when they have reached capacity during registration. Therefore, it is important to register early to ensure your first choice of test sites.

NOTE: Students may register for the ACT with two test options -- the ACT Assessment or ACT Assessment Plus Writing. The ACT Assessment Plus Writing includes a 30-minute writing test.

If you plan to register with the NCAA Clearinghouse, to play Division I or II sports you must have your test scores sent DIRECTLY to the Clearinghouse. The NCAA code 9999 must be one of your score report choices. NAIA schools are also requiring you to register if you plan to attend a school in this association. NAIA code is 9876. You must also register with the respective eligibility center.

Test Sites: Make certain that you have registered for an appropriate test sites.

Day of Exam: Bring your admission ticket, picture identification, approved calculator, and #2 lead pencils.
