After graduating from Indiana University Bloomington in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Mr. Gmutza moved to North Carolina and earned a Master of Science in Community Counseling from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2001. He served as the counselor at Gulford Preparatory Academy charter school in Greensboro, and then moved back home to Mt. Vernon, Indiana to become a counselor at Mount Vernon Senior High School for the next four years. Mr. Gmutza then served as counselor at Glenwood Leadership Academy in the EVSC for eleven years before moving to Harrison High School in 2021. “I have always had a passion for working with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures and I am excited to get to know the students and families in the Harrison community each new year."

Mrs. Horner earned her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Mental Health Counseling and Rehabilitation from Marshall University in West Virginia. She moved to Vincennes with her husband and one son in 1996. She had another son in Vincennes and her family moved to Evansville in 2002. Mrs. Horner spent many years counseling individuals, families, marriages, and teens. She also spent 11 years working as a college advisor before coming to Harrison in January of 2017. She enjoys helping, challenging, inspiring, and motivating young people. "It is such a privilege and a blessing to have a job that I love and such a wonderful team to work with."

Mr. Browning is a 1990 graduate of HHS, and a 1995 graduate of Western Kentucky University where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Social Work. He received his Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern Indiana and has spent the last 20 years in EVSC as a behavior consultant. He has a second certification in guidance and counseling from Western as well. "Harrison has always been my home and love that I have the opportunity to give back to the school that gave to me."
