After graduating from Indiana University in 2010 with a Bachelor Degree in Education/Special Education, where Mrs. Tilley was a member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority, her first full time job was a Leadership Consultant for Alpha Gamma Delta. This gave her the opportunity to travel to many different states, helping college women in her sorority reach their potential. When she returned to Evansville, IN in 2011, she got married and started her career in education. She began as a teacher’s assistant at Caze Elementary School, and then moved to Highland Elementary School as a self-contained special education teacher for a year, before transitioning to another teaching position at Glenwood Leadership Academy where she taught 3rd grade inclusion for seven years. After teaching for several years, Mrs. Tilley decided to try something new and became a data and academic coach within EVSC for the next four years, until she felt called to pursue additional education to become a school counselor. She returned to school to earn her credentials through Indiana State University. While teaching and going back to school, she made time to add in two children, a variety of animals, and many travels around the world. Mrs. Tilley is excited to return to the high school from which she graduated. For her, Harrison High School is full of wonderful memories from her time as a student and has always held a special place in her heart. “I am dedicated to my work as a school counselor and cannot wait to meet all of the students and families that I have the pleasure of serving for many, many years to come!”
