FAFSA

Students are now able to file their FAFSA starting October 1 each year.

Students must file the FAFSA to be eligible for federal and state aid.

Each high school in the EVSC hosts a Financial Aid night in January to help students and parents through this process. FAFSA has a priority deadline of March 10 every year. Students and parents are expected to complete the FAFSA each year the student plans on attending post-secondary education.

FAFSA will send student a SAR (Student Aid Report) to review. Make corrections and mail back to FAFSA if necessary. Otherwise, keep the SAR in your files.

Around April or May, colleges/universities from which you indicated on the FAFSA an interest in attending will send you an Award Letter. The Award Letter will tell you the names and amounts of the awards that you are eligible to receive each semester.

Only colleges and universities that you listed on the FAFSA (that you have applied to and have been accepted) will send you an award letter.
